Neste Jacobs increases the milk powder production of Valio’s Lapinlahti factory by 8% with NAPCON Controller

Neste Jacobs has successfully finished an optimization project at Valio’s factory in Lapinlahti, Finland. The project was carried out to optimize the factory’s milk powder production line, with the objective of increasing product selection and extending optimization for milk powder.

The optimization was carried out with Neste Jacobs’ NAPCON Controller and the project was implemented within the agreed schedule. The estimated 8% increase in milk powder production was reached according to plan, and without any large hardware investments, increases in energy consumption or interruptions to production rate – making the investment into NAPCON Controller very profitable.

Both Valio and Neste Jacobs feel that the project has been a great success and are looking into working together in the future. “We are very satisfied with the production increase enabled by Neste Jacobs’ NAPCON Controller for our Lapinlahti factory. Our cooperation with Neste Jacobs has been smooth and they have been very helpful throughout the project. We are currently looking into expanding this project”, says Aleksi Ylitalo, Process Expert of Valio Ltd Lapinlahti.
